But as the group travels through the Timestream, they attract the attention of Parallax and Extant as they plot the destruction of the universe. Making their escape, they find themselves in the future, on the very day that Michael John Carter threw a football game to try and make money gambling for his father. Stealing a time-sphere from the museum that Booster will one day guard, they plan to return to the present, and enlist Rip Hunter's aid in returning the stolen Time Sphere so that it will be there for Booster to steal, returning him to the past. But upon their return to the present, not all is right in the lab of Rip Hunter.

Booster Gold, Vol. 2 #1 | 52 Pick-Up, Chapter 1: Secret Origins | $3.00 | Comic | 1 | Details
| PLOT:After helping Rip Hunter save the multiverse at the end of 52, Booster Gold sets out to regain his standing as a hero and defeats the Royal Flush Gang as the Justice League arrive. They think he is merely grandstanding but, due to the help he gave Batman during Infinite Crisis, he is given a week's opportunity to prove himself before the League will tell him if they'll admit him. A week later, Booster is staying with his ancestor, Daniel, who still wears the Supernova costume he donned at the end of 52. He has not been out of the house since that event, though. They are interrupted by the arrival of Rip Hunter who enlists Booster's help in repairing temporal anomalies, leaving Daniel behind. He is attacked by a mysterious figure who steals the Supernova costume.Booster and Rip travel back in time to World War III and save a plane damaged by Black Adam before Booster meets Rose Levin, the woman destined - with Daniel - to start the line that ends with Booster.Arriving for his appointment with the League, he is stunned to be given membership but his certificate becomes the death notice of Green Lantern before his eyes. Realising that Rip Hunter was right and that he has to help him, Booster turns down the League membership, claiming it was all a ploy to allow him to grandstand, though Batman does not believe him.As Booster joins Rip and agrees to work with him for a price - that of saving Blue Beetle from Maxwell Lord - the mysterious stranger, now wearing the Supernova costume, goes back in time to meet Sinestro when he was still a Green Lantern. | ||||||||

Booster Gold, Vol. 2 #2 | 52 Pick-up, Chapter 2: Leggo My Ego | $2.00 | Comic | 1 | Details
| PLOT:Booster agrees to help Rip Hunter maintain the timestream in return for Rip's help in helping him save Ted Kord, the Blue Beetle murdered by Maxwell Lord. Rip reluctantly agrees and tasks Booster with saving Earth's greatest Green Lantern; this is not Hal Jordan, however, but Guy Gardner. Through someone tampering with the time stream, Sinestro at the time when he was still regarded as the best Green Lantern is to contact Gardner which results in calamatous results. As Booster travels to the past, Hunter goes searching for whomever is altering time.In an interlude, Dan Garrett finds the scarab in an Egyptian tomb that transforms him into Blue Beetle. In the past, Sinestro arrives to speak with Gardner but is ambushed by Booster.Hunter, in the timestream, finds a huge craft.Booster, meanwhile, manages to convince Sinestro that he is a fan and that whoever told him to contact Gardner was not acting in his best interests. With the Lantern persuaded to leave, Booster finds Gardner in a bar and speaks with him, convincing him to leave and visit his dying father. As Booster and Skeets return to Hunter's time bubble, a beaten and dishevelled Hunter is thrown against the bubble and someone wearing Supernova's costume is revealed as his attacker. Supernova leaves and journeys to the Old West where he finds and hires Jonah Hex to kill Hunter and Booster. | ||||||||

Booster Gold, Vol. 2 #3 | 52 Pick-up, Chapter 3: Hexed | $2.00 | Comic | 1 | Details
| PLOT:Booster and Rip confront Daniel over the loss of the Supernova suit and realise that whoever is now wearing the Supernova suit is working with the inhabitant of the time sphere Rip saw in the time stream and, together, are damaging the time line. As they argue, Rose Levin arrives and Booster and Rip leave Daniel to meet the woman that (they know) will become Daniel's wife and thus Booster's ancestor. In the time sphere, Booster and Rip finad anomalies around the time line of Superman that cause the baby Kal-El to be found not by the Kents but by Lionel Luthor. As a consequence, the young hero is killed by Lex Luthor. Hunter finds the anomaly is caused in the mid-1800's and sends Booster and Skeets to the Old West.Booster finds Jonah Hex who agrees to answer his questions if Booster can outdrink him. Some time and several bottles of whiskey later, Hex tells him that someone had asked him to kill Dr Jeb Westfield. This would prevent Westfield from being at the birth of Jonathan Kent's great-grandfather, meaning that Kent himself would not exist, leaving Superman to be found by Luthor.Still drunk, Booster travels to the Westfield's home and is found by Supernova who had come to kill Westfield himself. Booster is able to foil his attempt and returns to the time sphere intent on following Supernova. Before they can, however, they run into the Flash and Kid Flash on their Cosmic Treadmill. | ||||||||

The Brave and the Bold, Vol. 4 #9 | Changing Times | $2.50 | Comic | 1 | Details
| PLOT:Several pages of the Book of Destiny have come undone from their binding, and formed a humanoid entity. June is captured by it, and finds herself observing the events depicted in those pages. The first was a team-up between the Metal Men and Robby Reed (of "Dial H For Hero.") They join forces and eventually defeat a giant robot whose only spoken word is "Megistus." The second is a team-up between the Blackhawk sqadron and the Boy Commandos, who are trying to prevent the Nazis from obtaining the Orb of Ra. They do this, but then a mummy captures Brooklyn of the Boy Commandos, with plans to use him to demonstrate to Megistus the power of the orb. He escapes, sealing the temple in the process. The third story June views depicts Hawkman and the new Atom fighting against the Warlock of Ys, who also seems to have some knowledge of or contact with Megistus. After realizing that most of the troubles the heroes are having with their equipment is simply feedback and not the Warlock's doing, the new Atom creates more extreme feedback, sending the Warlock through a page shaped portal, which brings the story right back to June, who is now viewing the Book of Destiny's depiction of her current difficulties. | ||||||||
